In-Home Caregiver

Job Summary:
Village Caregiving in London, Kentucky is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team on a part-time, hourly basis. This individual will be responsible for providing personal and medical care to elderly residents in our East Bernstadt assisted living community. The Caregiver will play a vital role in ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of our residents and maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment for them.

Compensation & Benefits:

Responsibilities:
• Provide personal care services such as bathing, dressing, and grooming to residents according to their individual care plans
• Assist with medication management, accurately administering and documenting medications as directed by healthcare professionals
• Monitor and document changes in residents' physical and mental health, reporting any concerns or issues to the appropriate staff members
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents, including light housekeeping and laundry duties
• Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and fellow staff members to promote a warm and welcoming community atmosphere
• Participate in resident activities and outings, providing support and assistance as needed
• Attend mandatory training and educational sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices in caregiving and dementia care

Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Caregiver or in a similar role
• Experience in providing personal care and assistance to elderly individuals
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures
• Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and staff members
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
