Transit Planner

We are seeking a dynamic and detail oriented individual to fill the job of a Transit Planner. The Transit Planner assists in planning activities related to fixed route and demand-response services. This position conducts short-range and long-range transit planning documents and studies, and analyzes transit data.

Transit Planner Responsibilities include-

• Cultivate relationships, including attending monthly board meetings.

• Serve as liaison between public transportation and human service transportation providers.

• Coordinate regarding general needs, funding sources allocations, asset management, project development and performance targets.

• Prepares required transit planning documents

• Conduct transit and transportation data collection and analysis, including performance management.

• Provide research, writing, and support for plans, reports, studies, and applications

Transit Planner Education, Training, Experience –

Graduation from an accredited institution with a Bachelor's degree in political science, economic development, business or related field, and 2-3 years relative experience in public transportation planning. Master’s degree preferred but not required. A satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures the ability to perform the work may be considered.

The Transit Planner is a full time, direct hire position.

Transit Planner wage depends on experience, $60k
