Electrical Design (Hardware) Engineer

New Life Staffing is currently on the hunt for a candidate Electrical Design Engineer role we have for a client near the Allentown, PA area.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Create and/or redesign existing Schematics and Printed Circuit Board designs for DC control systems and test fixtures

• Create BOM (Bill of Materials) for your new designs

• Design filter inductors and main power transformers

• Test new designs to ensure they meet all internal and 3rd party environmental, regulation, and safety standards.

• Work with manufacturing personnel analyzing and resolving production issues, or documentation issues.

• Participate in discussions with engineering group to collaborate on the system designs

• Attend weekly engineering meetings and bi-weekly staff meetings which include the entire company.

Desired Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering college

• 7+ years’ experience working as an electrical engineer in a similar field

• Power Electronics, Analog, Digital, and Embedded Microcontroller Application designs

• Magnetics design (transformers and chokes)

• SCR Control and Driver Circuit design

• Ability to use Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Experience in supporting manufacturing environment

Salary: $100,000-125,000
