Palmer Candy is hiring for 2nd shift Supervisor

2nd shift will work Monday-Friday. Monday-Thursday hours are 3:30 pm- 3:00 am with Friday hours varying from 6 to 10-hour shifts. Saturday hours may be scheduled due to business needs.

Team Member’s will be notified by plant management if schedules were to change outside of the times listed above.

Overall Purpose:

Ensure that team members are producing fine quality products in a safe, secure, and sanitary manner within the appropriate specifications outlined by company managers. Support line leads in their daily roles to ensure a safe and productive environment in the plant.

Responsibilities

• Regular attendance.

• Verify there is adequate staff for each line and that all Team Members are needed

• Support line leads with line setups and changeovers

• Ensure that all team members are abiding by company policies and procedures.

• Lead a zero-loss culture, assuring a safe working environment and compliance with all EHS and Food Safety Standards.

• Maintain OEE on lines

• Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety behaviors.

• Check equipment to ensure that it meets health and safety regulations.

• Perform regular quality and percentage checks on products, verify production outputs to ensure product meets specifications.

• Manage operations through Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), including, safety, food safety, product quality, productivity, plant environmental, cost and customer service.

• Discuss with new employees on how to safely use machinery

• Collaborate with production team and management to solve work related problems

• Correctly record lot numbers, date codes and other product information.

• Maintain appropriate inventory counts of products.

• Review REDZONE quality and performance data with leads

• Perform simple maintenance or cleaning.

• Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards

• Provide assistance on the software Redzone

• Ensuring Team Members are packaging products, checking metal detectors are in working order, maintaining a clean working environment, and performing proper allergen washes


Abilities

• Lift 20–30 pounds occasionally.

• Ability to handle, control and/or feel objects/product.

• Other duties as assigned by management.


Work Environment:

• Possible exposure to minor burns or cuts

• Standing for long periods of time

• Repetitive motion and fast paced movement
