Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and greet guests, ensuring they feel comfortable and personally attended to.
  • Inform guests of daily specials and any menu changes.
  • Make thoughtful recommendations based on your knowledge of the menu.
  • Answer questions about our food, beverages, and restaurant services.
  • Take food and beverage orders from guests and enter them into our point-of-sale system for efficient kitchen and bar communication.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly to guests.
  • Complete side work tasks at the beginning and end of each shift as assigned by your service station.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment throughout the restaurant.
  • Monitor guests' dining experiences, ensuring their satisfaction, and promptly addressing any requests.
  • Prepare the final bill, present it to the guest, accept payments, process credit card charges, and make change when applicable.
  • Be ready to assist fellow servers and support the bus person in clearing and resetting tables.
  • Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Effective listening and communication skills.
  • Efficient multitasking abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of previous food service experience in a high-paced environment, with food serving experience.
  • Experience in handling large and heavy trays is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in a high-paced and stressful environment.
  • Proficiency in handling public interactions and basic math skills.
