Salary: $15 Hourly

The Facility Services Team member supports ministry events and gatherings by maintaining a clean, organized environment and setting up and preparing each environment according to the needs of the ministry. This person should have excellent interpersonal skills, and be detail-oriented and reliable. The Facility Services Team Member reports to the Facility Services Manager.


Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours weekly, evenings and weekends.


Experience & Abilities

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Knowledge of general cleaning techniques and basic equipment.
  • Can work alone as well as part of the team
  • Calm and clear-thinking ability to handle problems or crises in a highly professional and timely manner
  • Specific Abilities: Personable and friendly, detail and service-oriented, and self-motivated. Ability to read and carry out written and oral instructions and perform basic math functions. Able to work well under pressure and time constraints. Must be able to operate cleaning equipment safely.
  • Performs work well with attention to detail, efficiency, and accuracy.


What This Person Does

  1. Keep and maintain clean facilities according to the department task sheet.
  2. Clean and sanitize all surfaces, including vacuuming and cleaning carpets and floors.
  3. Room set up and tear down, including arranging furniture, setting up tables, chairs, and other equipment in preparation for meetings and events; clean up and tear down following meetings and events.
  4. Restock paper and soap products.
  5. Empty trash cans for proper disposal.
  6. Prepare rooms and building for use by maintaining appropriate climate control and ensuring appropriate lights are turned on and off at the beginning and conclusion of events and services.
  7. Connect with Ministry Leader or rental point person before events to ensure all their needs are met.
  8. Notify management of any needs for equipment repairs.
  9. Keep a record of cleaning supplies inventory and inform Team Lead or Facilities Manager of any items that need to be restocked.
  10. Attend regular staff meetings and additional meetings when requested.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.


Physical Requirements

This is a fast-paced, high-energy position.

Must be able to be on feet for entire shift. A typical shift can involve walking approximately 5 miles.

Must be able to carry 30lbs or more.

Must be able to squat and lift 50lbs or more.

Must be able to push or pull 50lbs or more.

Must be able to transport tables, chairs and other furniture throughout the building in a timely manner.

Requires extensive walking, stooping, pushing, carrying, climbing, bending, and lifting.

Must be able to clean up bodily fluids.

Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail.

Must be able to perform repetitive movements.

Must be able to work with commercial cleaning products.
