Job Description

ExacTech Inc. in Sturgeon Bay, WI is looking to add and 2nd shift welders to our team. As part of a turnkey heavy fabrication team, welders are responsible for welding and fabricating on various steel parts. We are proud to offer in-house job training for all our team members.

2nd shift: Monday-Thursday: 3:30PM-2:00AM

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding with Metal-cored wires & flux-cored wires to assemble large steel pieces together
  • Read and interpret blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific welding requirements
  • Use disc grinders to smooth out parts to ensure there are no defects prior to and after welding
  • Daily use of overhead cranes and jib cranes to place components in position for welding
  • Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above
  • All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Technical diploma in welding is desired
  • Understand pre-heat and post-heat weldments preferred
  • Ability to read Blueprints and drawings is a plus
  • Ability to use a tape measurer and convert measurements into decimals
  • Following verbal and written work instructions
  • Regular attendance required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
