Store Manager Job Description

Lift up to 75 lbs, bend an twist as needed for tasks.
Push or pull pallets and work or learn to work Pallet Jacks and/or Fork Lift, Floor equipment or other equipment as needed to perform duties.
Manage associates and deal with customer issues in a calm and friendly manor.
Read and write and use computer as needed for paperwork.
Must be capable of reconciling paperwork and funds in balancing office and receipts.
Must be able to manage time effectively for completion of tasks for self and subordinates.
Capable of leading a team to meet sales goals.

*Customer Service – including handling customer issues.
*Handle associate issues as they arrise, for effective results.
* Hire/terminate associates as required to ensure smooth store operations.
*Train Team for the duties of their job as outlined by job descriptions. Cross training as abilities allow for effective team work and to build a bench for future promotions.
*Merchandize store to maximize sales and minimize loss.
*Ensure Money and Safe are kept locked and reports along with morning/ weekly paperwork is properly completed as assigned.
*”Run Front end” helping cashiers with voids, change and customer issues. Running Cash register when needed for customer service.
*Walk sales floor and assign duties as needed to staff.
*Ensure proper rotation of milk, dairy, meat, and produce to make sure they are fresh and to limit loss.
*Ensure refrigeration is running to desired temperatures to maximize product freshness.
*Ensure carts, are available for Customers and your building is Appealing , Clean and safe.
*Ensure the Truck Crew is being led so goods are taken to the sales floor in a productive manor and sales floor is merchandized to maximize sales. Ensure that cold product is put away in an efficent manor. Ensure that truck conditions are inspected as delivered for Produce/Meat/Dairy/Frozen to ensure quality.
*Ensure managers and shift leaders are following through with store employees for store maintenance and duties as assigned.
*Check Equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly, calling for service when needed.
*Document issues and associates as needed.
*Setting and disarming alarm system and locking doors. Follow up on refrigeration alarms.
*Answer alarm calls as needed, with police present.
*Ensure merchandise is ordered as needed and crews are scheduled for efficent placement of merchandise to the floor.
*Ensure paperwork or front office duties, which could include scheduling, payroll, price changes, filing, documentation, employee documentation, POS/ cashier balance settlement are completed accurately by deadlines.
*Ensure all departments are running smoothly, jumping in as needed to assist in filling, culling or stocking.
*Having a flexable schedule to work any time of day and all hours for operation of the store and receiving trucks based on the needs of the business.
*Meet Sales, Payroll, productivity goals set forth by the Company.
*Ensure that Management, Keyholders and Crew are following the policies and lead the team in a productive and effective manor- Upholding and Enforcing Company Policies and Standards.
