The Client Engagement Specialist (CES) is responsible for fostering and maintaining a healthy rapport with third party logistics as well as with clients. The CES will work under the direction of the Client Engagement Manager and in support of the Client Development Executives and Demand Planning Manager.


What you’ll do:

  • Process customer complaints.
  • Address customer concerns and issues, escalating them to the Client Engagement Manager as necessary for job completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain customer price list in order entry and invoice system reporting discrepancies as needed.
  • Process customer orders, changes, returns and invoicing according to established department policies and procedures.
  • Provide documentation to accounting for bill processing of air and sea shipments.
  • Distribute weekly open purchase order reports to customers and manager.
  • 3PL inventory management and reconciliation.
  • Ability to work within a cross-functional team and matrix management structure.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and suggest solutions.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workflow and to meet established timeframes.
  • Strategic/ tactical planning and implementation capabilities.
  • Track open orders for lifecycle of the order.
  • Follow up with client to confirm product satisfaction.
  • Provide customers with world class service with every interaction
  • Manage and communicate all backorders with manager and clients
  • Responsible for month end reports as to be completed and provided to accounting by the 11th of each month.

What you’ll bring:

  • H.S. diploma; relevant bachelor’s degree preferable.
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven skills and experience in business analysis and supply chain processes.
  • Ability to respond appropriately under pressure.
  • Sound judgment and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to speak a second language may be advantageous.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to build relationships with clients.
  • The flexibility to work irregular hours, when required.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Analyze complex situations and make recommendations.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Fishbowl manufacturing/inventory software and QuickBooks experience is a plus
