This position is responsible for providing professional, non-clinical personal care and caregiving services to enable clients to remain healthy and independent in their home and community settings. You will assist with instrumental activities of daily living while encouraging self-care and independence.

Job Duties:

  • Perform the functions of a Direct Care Worker (DCW) for regularly scheduled consumer cases.
  • Assist in miscellaneous office/administrative functions including but not limited to scheduling, file reviews, filing, answering telephone calls, organizing meetings, performing tasks on Homecare platform, and assisting with human resources tasks.
  • Act as the “expert” direct care worker for new hires needing shadowing experience.
  • Act as a fill-in for Care Coordinators and DCWs as needed.
  • Participate in your branch office’s on call rotation.
  • Assist and perform ongoing training and oversight of direct care workers.
  • Provide suggestions and recommendations to Care Coordinators and HR Recruiters regarding the performance of DCWs and identify the need for raises and/or disciplinary action.
  • Assist in the quality oversight of consumer care through direct observation of caregivers and consumers, conversations with consumers and their families, e-mail, and other similar forms of communication.
  • Attend all staff and employee meetings
  • Assist with developing an agenda for quarterly employee meetings.
  • Maintain confidentiality and abide by HIPAA regulations. - Provide suggestions to improve the efficiency of the office.
  • Provide suggestions for recruitment and retention of direct care workers.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • PA Department of Health Nursing Assistant license/certification in good standing
  • Minimum 5 years experience working as a nursing assistant
  • CPR certification (may be provided by CGA) - Evidence of continuing education efforts
  • Positive attitude and good people skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to perform above job responsibilities professionally and in a manner which conveys your abilities to be above industry average, befitting the position’s title.
