Family Choice Healthcare, a 25 year old state-licensed homecare agency works to ensure that local seniors are cared for. We are actively seeking individuals who have similar values and encourage you to join our team as a Direct Care Worker.

If you would like to provide compassionate companionship, personal care and other services to local seniors or disabled adults in their area. We are looking for individuals whose days get brighter by brightening someone else’s; positivity is the key to being successful in this role. Housekeeping and personal care experience are a huge bonus also.

Prerequisites:

Proven experience as personal care assistant
CPR/First Aid Training certified
High school diploma or equivalent
A valid driver’s license/photo ID
Background Check required
PPD/Chest X-ray

Hoyer lifts / Gait belts
Job Requirements
If you’re a compassionate, positive person who isn’t afraid to work hard, then this is a job for you. 

Ensure clients receive their medication on time
Support clients who can’t move on their own
Help clients dress, bathe, eat, etc.
Assist clients with physical therapy exercises
Cook meals according to the client’s restrictions
Help clients with their shopping
Do necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean environment
Provide emotional support
Inform physicians or supervisors about uncommon events
Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency requirements
Ability to service:  Pittsburgh and surrounding areas
