Welder

System One is actively seeking a Welder for a Contract-to-Hire position working in Tulsa, OK. Welder Responsibilities: Select fabrication equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding procedures. Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure them in position for welding. Set up equipment and weld parts using Arc, Gas-Shielded Arc, or Gas Welding equipment. Assemble parts by bolting. Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts. In some cases, fabrication equipment may be used to perform the function above such as plate rolling machines, plate cutting machines, cutting torches, or other welding fabrication equipment. Clean pole and welds as required. Accountable and responsible for essential tools and equipment provided along with the maintenance of these tools and equipment. Required to adhere and comply with state and federal law, the Company ISO Quality Program and procedures, Company policies, and Safety and Environmental Regulations. May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Welder Requirements: High school diploma or GED is required. 1-2 or more years of related welding experience 1-2 years’ experience working in a heavy manufacturing environment. Attention to detail, mechanical skills, high-quality standards, and ability to finish projects on time are desirable skills for this position. Ability to pass welding pre-employment test. Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints. Must be able to use and read welding measuring devices to include but not limited to squares, levels, and tape measures. Must be able to make repair welds using fabrication equipment including but not limited to cutting torches, hand grinders, surface grinders, wheel grinders, and a plasma cutter. Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, and competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Location: Tulsa, OK Pay rate: $24.73/hr.
