Beyond TalentEdge has started our recruiting efforts for several Food Service Workers at a local college.
A Food Service Worker plays a crucial role in the efficient and smooth operation of a dining hall. They are responsible for providing excellent customer service to patrons, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, and ensuring the availability of food and beverages throughout the dining hours.
Job Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation and Serving: Prepare and serve a variety of food items, including hot and cold dishes, salads, desserts, and beverages. Ensure that the food is presented attractively and adheres to quality and safety standards.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, assist them with their choices, and answer any questions they may have about the menu items. Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while dealing with patrons and address any concerns or complaints.
- Cleanliness and Sanitation: Follow strict hygiene and safety protocols to maintain a clean and sanitized dining environment. Keep work areas, dining tables, and serving stations clean and organized at all times.
- Food Replenishment: Continuously monitor food and beverage levels and restock items as needed. Ensure that the dining hall remains well-stocked during service hours.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other dining hall staff, including kitchen personnel, servers, and supervisors, to maintain a smooth flow of operations and provide an enjoyable dining experience for customers.
- Needs to be able to follow direction, communicate effectively, and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Have knowledge of basic food safety and a strong work ethic
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be available to work weekends
Required qualifications:
- 18 years or older
