Position Summary:

This Position is on 1st Shift Monday - Friday

Level one machinists/operators, under direct supervision, load and unload parts in operation of CNC Swiss (STAR) turning centers machine cells to produce complex machined aerospace parts. Level one machinists are responsible for in process inspection of machined product, which requires basic competencies in shop math, hand measuring tools and documentation. Level one machinists are responsible for some deburr operations as well as basic preventative machine maintenance, which includes coolant and lube levels and area cleanliness. Typically, 1-2 years of experience.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC Swiss Star Lathe
• Inspects produced components per blueprint using standard inspection techniques
• Loads/unloads parts in provided work holding method per setup
• Replaces broken cutting tools/inserts as needed
• Deburr parts as required
• Completes work order documentation in accordance with AS9100 quality standards
• Light Maintenance Duty of equipment

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer use. Applicant should be familiar with CNC machining methods.

Required Experience:

1-year minimum experience in industry or related field. Preferred certification in CNC operations.

Level of Education:

High school diploma/GED equivalent required. A minimum of at least 1 year experience in industry or related field.

For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter .
