Temp to perm
Schedule: Part-time 20-25 hours/week - pretty flexible on hours, anywhere from 7:30am-5pm, 5 days/week.
Requirements:
- Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel , and Word REQUIRED
- 3 years bookkeeping preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, and reports
- Produce monthly reports
- Daily banking, enter and pay bills
- Reconcile bank statements enter and pay bills
- Order office supplies
- Coordinate maintenance with companies including, plumbing, electrician, and HVAC
- Monitor cash to pay bill
- Record payroll
- Print quarterly payroll reports
- File tax returns
- Maintain and organize physical and digital files
- Assist with data entry, record keeping, and document management
- Coordinate meetings
- Assist in preparing presentations and reports
- Provide support to other team members as needed
Skills:
- Journal entries: Ability to record financial transactions accurately in accounting journals
- Financial concepts: Understanding of basic financial terms and concepts related to budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Payroll: Knowledge of payroll processes, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes
- Accounting software: Proficiency in using accounting software programs for data entry and financial analysis
- Technical accounting: Familiarity with advanced accounting principles and practices, such as revenue recognition or lease accounting standards
- Accounts receivable: Understanding of invoicing processes, tracking payments, and resolving customer billing issues
- Tax: Basic knowledge of tax regulations and requirements for individuals or businesses
- General ledger reconciliation: Ability to reconcile accounts by comparing transactions recorded in the general ledger with supporting documentation or subsidiary ledgers
- Governmental accounting: Familiarity with accounting principles specific to government entities or organizations
