Citizens Electric Corporation is seeking a Vice President of Engineering, due to promotion, to lead the engineering department at our headquarters in Perryville, Missouri. Citizens Electric is a not-for-profit corporation operating as an electric cooperative, servicing 49 substations across 2,817 miles of distribution and transmission lines, within six counties. Given the Corporation's large industrial load, it is the largest Missouri co-op by KWH sales.

Our Vice President of Engineering plays a critical role in support of the reliability and safety of Citizens Electric's service territory, ensuring that the system is kept in compliance with all engineering standards and codes. This leader plans and designs the system for existing and future loading using best utility practices and strives for the greatest value, ensuring the system is weather hardened and reliability is maintained. Assistance with outage restoration can be required in support of our 24/7 operation.

This role requires interaction and coordination with other internal departments, particularly operations. Communicates regularly with vendors, contractors, organizations, members, the board, and community officials.

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Professional Engineering license in the State of Missouri is strongly preferred. Minimum of five years of experience in the design, operation and maintenance of electric facilities with previous supervisory experience required.
