PK 4 Teacher's Aide

Reports To: Early Childhood Learning Center Principal

Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Schedule for Position: M-F, 7:30 a.m.-1:15 p.m. (per the School Calendar)

Job Summary: Act in a support role to the classroom teacher

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and implementing the daily program under the direction of the teacher
  • Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies
  • Supervise children when the Head Teacher is in or out of the classroom
  • Help with the general housekeeping tasks
  • Keep record of the periodic cleaning of cots, materials and furnishings
  • Assist the teacher in any other appropriate ways
  • Maintain a professional attitude and representation of the school at all times
  • Faithfully implement the systems, policies and procedures as outlined by the Head of School and/or Preschool Administrator
  • Attend workshops, seminars, and conferences as directed
  • Must obtain Ohio Educational Aide Permit prior to start date, if does not have a teaching license

Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School diploma
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, preferred
  • Experience working with preschool or elementary aged children
  • Strong Christian background
  • Comfortable working in a multi-denomination Christian community
