Part-Time Supervised Visitation Monitor
Community Human Services (CHS) is a local nonprofit agency that provides comprehensive support to community members of Monterey County. CHS is looking for qualified individual Monitors for our Supervised Visitation Program. This program is based in our Salinas and Seaside Family Service Centers. We are hiring 2 candidates, 1 for each Family Service Center location. The ideal candidate has experience working with children and families in crisis.
Responsibilities:
• Provides direct service in the Supervised Visitation Program, serving Court-referred, Probation-referred, parole-referred, and self-referred families
• Monitors visitations typically 4-8pm weekdays, and 8-5 weekends. **Weekend availability required
• Maintains and provides required documentation, including written reports for court
• Conducts intakes and assessments
• Collects fees and provide receipts
• Light cleaning and sanitization of visitations rooms
CHS Requirements:
• Bilingual preferred
• Knowledge and/or experience working with families experiencing custody disputes and severe family transitions
• Knowledge of child/elderly abuse laws (mandated reporter)
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity
• Confidentiality
Legal Requirements:
• Must meet qualifications as outlined by the California State Legislative. Qualifications include but are not limited to:
• 24 hours minimum of SV training (fulfilling family code 3200.5)
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• No record of a conviction for driving under the influence (DUI) within the last five years.
• Not been on probation or parole for the last 10 years.
• No record of a conviction for child molestation, child abuse, or other crimes against a person.
• No civil, criminal, or juvenile restraining orders within the last 10 years.
• Will notify supervisor if there is any personal relationship with client prior to providing services.

Pay $23.28-$28.29 per hour. Additional 5% bilingual stipend
