Family Services of Northeast Wisconsin in Green Bay, Wisconsin is actively seeking an empathetic full-time Therapist-in-Training. This therapist in-training position earns a competitive salary depending on experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A THERAPIST IN-TRAINING

As a counselor, you support clients in our Beacon program with therapeutic counseling in this integrated school based program. With the information that you collected from the assessment, you update diagnostic impressions and develop a strength based treatment plan. You provide psychotherapy that relates to the established treatment goals. To ensure that a client is progressing toward their goals, you monitor their progress and adjust services as needed in collaboration with the student, parents and other providers. You will assure quality, innovative programming, positive collaborative relationships and therapeutic counseling services in compliance with DHS 35. You gain a great sense of accomplishment and satisfaction with the vital services that you provide to our community.

THERAPIST IN-TRAINING QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related mental health field
  • Certified Advanced Practice Social Worker (CAPSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor-In Training (LPC-IT) in the state of Wisconsin
  • 1 year of providing individual, family, and/or group therapy is preferred but not required

THERAPIST IN-TRAINING WORK SCHEDULE

Your typical full-time counseling schedule is Monday through Friday during normal school hours, a willingness to work some early morning and evening hours is required in order to meet the needs of the students and their families. This is a 10.5 month/year position.
