Seeking an Executive Director/LALD! This is an ideal opportunity for the right candidate who wants to make a difference! This position will oversee the Ely, MN Carefree Living facility. Position is full-time, exempt.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Executive Director is responsible for the day-to-day care giving and related physical, financial, administrative and human resource operations of the Assisted Living. As appropriate, expand services into the community.

The Executive Director responsibilities includes but is not limited to:

  • Ensure appropriate health care and related services are delivered consistent with care plans. Meet with the families of the residents to clarify expectations and care plans (when applicable) for the residents. Participate in periodic care plan meetings and reviews.
  • Ensure all environmental and dining services are managed appropriately in order to provide an enjoyable, safe and healthy environment for all residents and personnel.
  • Develop and implement safety programs to ensure the well-being of residents, staff and visitors as well as avoiding injuries and financial loss. Actively coordinating the workers' compensation process.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to achieve financial stability while ensuring excellent care and service to the residents. Coordinate on-going recruitment activities to increase census.
  • Provide direct and indirect supervision and management of professional and paraprofessional staff; mutually set goals and evaluate employees' performance, thereby contributing to organizational and individual growth and development.
  • Participate in annual budgeting process and strategic, long-term planning.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with third parties such as county social workers, hospital discharge planners and others to assist in quality care and referral issues. Network with other community providers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hold current LADL: Licensed Assisted Living Director License or willing to work towards (cost paid by Carefree Living). Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Nursing, Business, Social Services, Geriatric Care, Nursing or related fields.
  • Minimum of five to seven years of progressively responsible supervisory or clinical management experience, preferably within the health care industry.
