Golden Years Homecare Services are offering an In-house training program for Home Health Aide Certification. Our 75 hour, DPH approved curriculum is geared towards any existing caregiver or anyone looking to become a caregiver. We offer a no-charge Home Health Aide education, training and certification program, and then guarantee you employment. Upon completion of the HHA course, you will be certified as a Home Health Aide and ready to work for Golden Years at Home Health Aide wages. In addition, we will employ you as a companion/homemaker while you are in training for a smooth and seamless transition.
JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for motivated individuals to join our health care team who work directly with clients in a private home or facility setting. Caregiving responsibilities include assisting clients with personal care, homemaking and companionship.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist clients in all activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting and dressing.
- Prepare nutritious meals within the patient’s diet and assist clients with eating, when necessary.
- Medication reminders.
- Assist clients with transfers, walking and physical activity as needed.
- Performs light housekeeping, such as dusting, vacuuming, laundry and dishes.
- Assistance with transportation to appointments, activities, errands and shopping.
- Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly.
- Completes records accurately and carries out all assignments as requested.
- Notifies supervisor of any acute or pertinent changes in client condition.
- Adheres to all agency policies and procedures including time sheet and activity sheet documentation, patient confidentiality, good attendance, and in-service requirements. Adheres to Agency HIPAA Privacy Plan as per written agreement.
