Position: Building Maintenance Mechanic 

Location: Norfolk, VA

Pay: $20/hr 

Experience: Electrical, plumbing and HVAC experience desired

Education: High school diploma or GED 

Type: Full-time; Contract 

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift 

  

HireOne is seeking a Building Maintenance Mechanic to join a growing and dynamic team!  

 

Job Description: 

• Ensure buildings remain in good repair
• Inspect, operate or test machinery and equipment
• Maintain a clean, orderly and organized workspace
• Lift and move objects without the aid of machinery
• Stand for long periods of time without sitting
• Order parts, supplies and equipment from catalogs or suppliers
• Handle customer complaints with empathy, finding quick and effective solutions
• Prepare, paint and texture walls and other surfaces
• Repair concrete, stucco and engines or engine-related equipment using a variety of tools
• Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions (must have own tools)
