Salt Wood Kitchen and Oysterette is a casual up-scale restaurant situated on a beachside resort. We take pride in offering a unique dining experience that showcases locally sourced ingredients from both land and sea. Our team is committed to providing exceptional service in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.

Position Overview:

In the pivotal role as a Host, you will be the welcoming face that sets the tone for our guests' visit. Your responsibilities will include warmly greeting and checking in guests, managing reservations, and efficiently guiding them to their tables. You will also be in charge of maintaining the flow of the dining room, answering the phones, taking in-room dining as well as to-go orders.

Key Responsibilities:

* Warmly greeting guests upon their arrival to the restaurant and engaging in friendly conversation to create a positive first impression. - Check guests in for reservations and guide them to their assigned tables. - Inquire about guests' dining preferences and any special occasions. - Coordinate with servers to ensure a smooth and timely seating process. - Answer the phone to take reservations, answer questions, and take in-room dining and to-go orders. - Communicate with our Support Staff to clear and reset tables in a timely manner to be able to seat guests.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent (required). - Previous restaurant experience is encouraged but not required. - Strong communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. - Customer-focused with a positive attitude. - Open availability
