Job Description:

Solar Negotiators is launching our new Canvassing Crew as an extension of our Customer Success Team. Our Customer Success Department is responsible for fielding calls from clients looking for solar installation, maintenance services, and repairs to their current system. They schedule appointments for our sales consultants, draft contracts for maintenance services, and route calls to the correct departments when needed. They work closely with both our Marketing and Sales Departments to coordinate appointments and executive and report on campaigns.


Responsibilities:

As a Solar Canvasser, it will be your responsibility to help generate qualified leads for our sales consultants. You will be working in the field the majority of the time, traveling door to door and engaging new customers. Your primary objective in this role is to either set an appointment for solar installation or to sell a maintenance package to an existing solar customer.


To help keep you organized, we will provide a canvassing software (Sales Rabbit). You will use this app to follow assigned routes, and notate the outcome of the encounters you have with homeowners. A large part of this role will be follow-up with the leads you generate to convert them into opportunities for our sales department.


Required Training:

  • You will work alongside and train with our Customer Success Team, so you have the proper knowledge of entering leads into our CRM Salesforce, and schedule sales appointments for our consultants.
  • Some basic knowledge of our company, solar sales and technical terms for maintenance/repair services will be needed when engaging with interested buyers.
  • We will have you run through a basic training course of solar 101 and departmental training videos to give you the information you need to be successful in this position, but previous experience working in the solar industry is a huge bonus.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, canvassing, or other related fields is required
  • Solar experience is strongly preferred, but not required
  • Ability to easily build rapport with strangers
  • Self-motivated and accountable
  • Competitive, with a strong desire to be successful
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Outgoing and positive personality



Compensation:

$15-$20/hr + healthy commission package - based on experience and performance. Canvasser will have the opportunity to train and work towards joining our team of sales consultants.
