Job Description
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
Centralized Intake & Assessment Responsibilities:
- Accept initial call, engage, assess, obtain demographic info, verify insurance, etc
- Collaborate with Supervisor of Fiscal Services regarding insurance issues
- Work in partnership with various referral sources to assist with appropriate linkage of clients
- Determine best fit with clinician – maintain intake availability in clinicians’ schedulers
- Assist clients with linkage to other community resources as needed
- Collaborate with Psychiatric Services and Intake Coordinator, Director of Clinical Operations & EMR, Director of Clinical Services, and Clinical Supervisors regarding clinician caseload
- Add clients to high risk list when appropriate
- Daily check of HealtheLink alerts and icarol system for calls to Crisis Services & follow up with clinicians as necessary
- Support agency's goals of centralizing intake and coordinating with other Child and Family Services programs
- Collaborate with community partners to increase awareness of services provided
Additional Duties:
- Conduct monthly Utilization Reviews, monthly Quality Assurance reviews, and participate in
Special Review Committee Meetings - Provide assistance to clinicians as requested
- Collaborate with Office Manager regarding administrative/office issues
- Possess a working knowledge of Credible EMR system
- Utilize Agency phone and email systems following standard customer services protocol,
which includes answering the telephone in a timely and professional manner, directing calls
appropriately and returning phone and email requests promptly; demonstrate excellent
phone etiquette and customer service skills; and demonstrate knowledge of agency
programs and services - Maintain positive working relationships with program staff and others within the agency
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills during interactions with internal and external
customers - Models and practices sensitivity, fair treatment and acceptance of diversity in all
interpersonal interactions - Participates and contributes to program Quality Improvement process
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Experience with Credible EMR system preferred
- 2 years of experience working in the mental health field
- Knowledge of community resources and programs throughout WNY
- Strong computer skills
- Strong communication skills
Competitive Pay Range $24-$27 per hour based on experience
