UPP Global is looking for Full-Time Valet Parking Attendants for our UVM Medical Center in Burlington, VT.


Position Quick Facts:

  • Pay rate is $15 - $16/hour - Earn up to $20/hr with combined base wage and opportunities for customer tips while valeting
  • NO WEEKENDS! Hiring for Monday-Friday coverage ONLY with various schedule options - depending on your availability! These options include the morning-to-mid afternoon shift as well as the late morning - evening shift.
  • Sign-On Bonus: For a limited time, this position is offering a welcoming sign-on bonus of $500 to the person(s) hired!
  • Base pay may be raised upon positive performance review, eligibility begins minimum 90 days after hire date.
  • ALL UPP employees working 30 hours or more weekly are eligible for our full benefits package!

This position is responsible for greeting arriving guests, assisting them as they exit their vehicle and parking their car efficiently and safely. Top-Notch guest experiences are vital to this role’s success, so going above and beyond is the common service level. Upon departure, the Valet Attendant runs at full speed to retrieve the departing guest’s vehicles, safely transferring it into their control, and leaving a lasting warm impression. Serious applicants should be engaging, skilled service workers who possess an outgoing personality; a polished, professional demeanor.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and welcome guests in an attentive, at-your-service readiness.
  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, parkers, co-workers, and clients
  • Provide exceptional services to all guests in a confident, friendly, and efficient manner
  • Be responsible for parking and retrieving guests vehicles in a prompt yet safe manner
  • Assist guests with directions, information/recommendations on local activities/attractions, and other inquiries as needed
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • Effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations to guests, parkers, co-workers, and clients
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to perform preventative safety procedures such as including safe lifting guidelines
  • Follows site-specific safety and security procedures
  • Uses only equipment trained to use and operates all equipment in a safe manner
  • Reports all accidents and incidents observed to Facility Manager immediately
  • Reports all potential hazards and safety concerns to Facility Manager
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); OR one (1) month related experience and/or training; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • The ability to operate manual transmission driving skills is a plus
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
  • For insurance purposes, must be at least 18 years of age and willing to undergo both a criminal background check and driving record history (MVR) check
