Job Summary
Chris Auffenberg Ford in Washington MO is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join their team. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between customers and technicians. The Automotive Service Advisor will assist customers with repair inquiries, schedule service appointments, and ensure that customers expectations are exceeded throughout the automotive repair process.
The Service Advisor is a customer-focused position that oversees and guides the process and customer experience from the time a vehicle enters the shop until it has been serviced or repaired and ready for delivery back to the customer. The ideal candidate must be a results-driven individual, with strong organizational and multitasking skills who will foster customer loyalty and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain customer relationships
- Utilize online and product training resources to stay updated on new product lines
- Utilize customer service principles, practices, and experience
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding automotive repair process
- Schedule service appointments in line with customer expectations
- Document customer complaints and requests
- Enter vehicle information into computer database
- Attend and participate in training programs to develop new skills
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning
- Handle customer inquiries and address complaints related to automotive services
- Maintain records of customer interactions and the actions taken
- Ensure that customer queries are resolved in a timely and efficient manner
- Communicate with service technicians to confirm services and address customer needs
- Quality check vehicles prior to customer delivery
- Sell additional services to customers when appropriate
- Monitor inventory levels and update management accordingly
- Aid in the supervision of service technicians
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong level of customer service experience
- Working knowledge of the automotive service industry
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Positive attitude and work ethic
