Shipping and Receiving Clerk

North Canaan, CT

About the Position:

Responsible for receiving and delivering supplies to the appropriate department. Assist with Inventory Ordering and Control, One Off Ordering, Asset Management, and Shipping/Receiving. Provide required inventory and maintain par levels for all Vending Machines, Marketing Materials, Client Services Material, Office, Medical, and Housekeeping Supplies.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Your Role:

  • Assist with the day-to day functions of the Shipping and Receiving Department, including distribution of goods and services.
  • Responsible for the accurate entry and quality verification of all products received.
  • Responsible for delivering incoming items to the appropriate parties, distribution of internal supply orders, and picking up outgoing shipment items from staff.
  • Fulfill supply requests, replenish stock, and process special orders.
  • Assist the Supply Chain Supervisor with data input for new FFE and IT assets when they arrive.
  • Submit, order and complete purchase orders for FFE, Inventory, and Operations on a regular basis.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all stocked supplies and reorder items when they reach par reorder level.
  • Evaluate and adjust Par and order levels to meet the demands of the company.
  • Receive and log all incoming FFE Items associated with satellite IOPs, separate the items by location, ensure that they are stored safely, and prep them for shipment.
  • Support coordinate deliveries with all departments to ensure client interruptions are minimized at all times.
  • Seek out opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining Mountainside's high standards.
  • Ensure Storage Facility is clean and orderly at all times.
  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 10 to 20 pounds horizontally and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist during the course of the workday.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Associates degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred.

Compensation:

The base rate of pay for this position is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
