Key Qualifications

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of grant budgets, expenditures, and forecasts to ensure alignment with project objectives and grant guidelines.
  • Manage financial aspects of grant-funded projects from inception to closeout, ensuring compliance with grant guidelines, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate across teams to develop and maintain grant budgets that meet the requirements of the funding agencies and support project goals.
  • Monitor budgetary performance throughout the grant lifecycle, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for grantors.
  • Support decision-making processes by providing insightful financial analysis and projections.
  • Assist with grant audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters related to grant-funded projects.

Description


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Budget Financial Analyst II to join our team. The candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate a highly optimized and specialized environment where priorities may shift daily while working autonomously, taking initiative, and completing tasks you are responsible for. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing budgets, and providing financial advice to management. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong understanding of financial principles.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in financial analysis or budgeting, preferably in a grant management or non-profit environment
  • Strong understanding of grant accounting principles, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Experience with grant proposal development and grant reporting preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay & Benefits


At Janus, base salary is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $31 and $34 per hour and your base pay will be considered on your job-related skills, training, qualifications, experience, and relevant education.

HOURS:


This position is a Hybrid Remote position which will require you to be on site various times during the week depending on the business needs and meetings.
