What you'll do:

The NJ4S Senior Licensed Clinician for Cape May and Atlantic Counties is responsible for providing clinical services both in person and through telehealth to students across the Hub school districts. Clinical services will include screening, brief interventions, facilitating treatment referrals, school consultation and making necessary referrals to community supports as needed/identified. Clinicians will be expected to work a combination of before, during and after school hours. The NJ4S Senior Licensed Clinician is a critical component in building effective collaborative partnerships and ensures that services are reflective of community need as well as ensuring the program is functioning in accordance with DCF guidelines.The NJ4S Senior Licensed Clinician will also be responsible for providing administrative and clinical supervision to Licensed Clinicians.

Essential Functions

Responsible for the supervision and training of licensed clinicians providing clinical services to students within the Hub.

Responsible for oversight of the timely and evidence-based delivery of clinical services for students within the Hub.

Counsels individuals, families or groups in an outpatient setting, and develops and implements therapeutic treatment plans

Responsible for cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders involved in the care network within the Hub.

Coordinates with NJ4S Scheduling Coordinators to support efficient and timely delivery of services according to Tier.

Partners with the Hub Director in the development and implementation of mental health workplans and social/emotional learning assessments.

Ensures quality and accuracy of documentation related to client files and LOS submissions

Coordinates and integrates treatment with other therapists, psychiatry, case management, and other services providers, within and between agencies, when appropriate

Helps to support the implementation of case review/school needs assessment process and providing direct services to students and parents/caregivers according to Tier eligibility.

Participates in the engagement with the Hub's Advisory Group as required.

Experience completing assessments and providing brief individualized clinical interventions to youth and families is required and a willingness to learn.

Preference for clinicians with previous training in Motivational Interviewing. Those who are not trained in Motivational Interviewing must be trained within sixty (60) days of hire or assignment to the Hub.

Preferred candidates will have experience working with and empowering at-risk youth and marginalized communities by conducting prevention education (e.g., substance abuse, pregnancy prevention, mental health, and well-being session, etc.) activities

Experience implementing evidence-based treatment and prevention programs is strongly preferred.

Ability to work with diverse, high-risk populations in need of support services and case management.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, cultural competency required.

Practitioners must be licensed as one of the following: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT). Preference for professionals with supervisory experience and supervisory credential specific to licensure.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record.
