Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is a residential treatment and educational center for youth and their families. The Ranch helps the kids that no one else can. We give the children served by the Ranch the tools they need for hope and healing. It is because of our supportive, hardworking staff that children can see the world differently and feel love through those who care for them in our residential treatment and educational centers. We are currently recruiting for part-time, temporary Summer Program Teachers at our Bismarck, Minot, and Fargo Campuses. This position is from May 28th through August 7th with job orientation the week prior to the start date. Summer Program hours are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Salary: $20.00/hr

Summary: Summer Program Teacher will provide an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth through leading groups of youth in the residential programs. We are looking for highly motivated and creative team players who love to work with children. We are looking to add new ideas to our programming that are both educational and fun at the same time. You will be responsible for lesson planning and leading the curriculum. The position does not require a ND teacher licensure.

Have a fun Summer with some AMAZING kids! A Summer Program Teacher will:

  • Maintain scheduling to assist clients in transitioning from a school schedule to summertime.
  • To provide experiential education opportunities, life skill development, health and wellness, good living, work experience, and community interaction
  • Build youth exploration of leisure activities that easily transfer to a home setting after discharge from residential programming.
  • Maintain academic success through the summer months.
  • Increase community integration and participation in programs.
