Job Title: HVAC Installation Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both residential and commercial HVAC systems, focusing on installation. This role involves working independently or as part of a team to install, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment in residential homes, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities. The candidate should have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Install new HVAC systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings according to specifications and building codes.
• Perform pre-installation site visits to assess project requirements, evaluate existing systems, and determine equipment needs.
• Select appropriate HVAC equipment, materials, and tools for each installation project.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, and project managers to ensure timely completion of installations and adherence to project timelines.
• Assemble and install ductwork, refrigerant lines, electrical wiring, and other components of HVAC systems.
• Test newly installed HVAC systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with performance standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing HVAC systems, including diagnosing malfunctions, repairing or replacing defective parts, and adjusting system settings.
• Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including equipment inventory, work performed, and service contracts.
• Provide guidance and training to junior technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to OSHA guidelines.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical training program in HVAC installation is preferred.
• Proven experience as an HVAC Installation Technician, with a minimum of 2 years in residential and commercial HVAC installations.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration principles.
• Familiarity with a variety of HVAC equipment brands and models, including furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps, and rooftop units.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• EPA certification for handling refrigerants (preferred).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
