Inventory Coordinator

A leading distributor and fabricator of insulation and materials for fire protection and refractory applications in Hammond, IN is looking for an Inventory Coordinator.

This is a 1st shift temp to perm position, 6am-2:30pm

Pay will start at $19/hr

What will you do:
-Receive items by unloading vehicles; accepting deliveries; unpacking containers
-Verify items received by inspecting condition of items, comparing count/measure of items to purchase order and packing list, and advise Shipping Coordinator of any discrepancies
-Transfer orders received by routing or delivering items to requesting department
-Prepare shipments by assembling, packing, protecting, and labeling containers
-Maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file inventory/receiving records
-Regularly enter inventory data into SXe on a timely basis
-Perform regular material warehouse audits
-Maintain warehouse cleanliness and assist facility maintenance
-Operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment
-Investigate and resolve situations where items received are not properly documented in the daily receipt log

What you must have:
-Strong communication skills(must be comfortable speaking with any anyone )
-Prior Shipping and Receiving experience required
-High School Diploma or Equivalent
-Basic computer skills required
-Ability to stand, lift 50lbs, bend, kneel and crouch for up to 12
hours per shift
-Strong motor skills
-Must be able to comply with pre-employment screens
