United Talent Staffing is seeking a Designer I/II to join the Hope Gas team in Jane Lew, WV.
The Designer I/II will electronically design and draft drawings such as tie-in details and alignment sheets for portions of large construction projects. Develops detailed design drawings utilizing company standards and engineering notes and sketches. Will make site visits prior to and during construction.
Primary Responsibilities
- Strong AutoCAD skills.
- Coordinates with multiple departments to ensure proper permits are submitted, land rights are acquired, and environmental standards are met.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations, related codes, and company standards.
- Coordinates with local supervision to ensure priorities are met.
- Develops tie-in details, bills of material, as-built documentation, final construction plans, and LOTO procedures for pipeline projects.
Main Qualifications
- High school diploma required. Associate degree preferred.
- Designer I: Associate degree and 0-2+ years of directly related experience.
- Designer II: Associate degree and 3+ years of directly related experience.
- Directly related experience includes construction inspection, construction management, drafting, utility experience, technical design.
- Must have valid driver’s license and be able to drive.
- Skills: Verbal, written and interpersonal communication, problem-solving, time management, strong computer skills.
- Abilities: Plan, prioritize, and schedule work independently; Understanding of large and/or complex distribution natural gas systems; Read and understand blueprints and/or survey information.
- Knowledge: Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering design drafting principles. Knowledge of GIS/Mapping. Knowledge of applicable regulations, related codes, and company standards. Basic knowledge of company design and operating standards.
Reports to: Supervisor of Gas Infrastructure
Salary: $60,000 - $90,000
