Little Cruisers, a NAEYC accredited child care center located at the Port of Miami is looking for a dynamic, passionate Assistant Teacher to join our team! We know the importance of early childhood education and believe in investing in a child's future. As an Assistant Teacher your responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Helping the teacher in the daily group and individual activities that are developmentally appropriate to meet the needs and interest of the children using the assigned curriculum.
  • Assisting with activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling.
  • Interacting with each child on a daily basis through circle time, centers, snacks, lunchtime, playground, free play, etc.

In addition, you will receive a SIGN-ON INCENTIVE OF 40 HOURS OF VACATION TIME OFF AFTER SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF YOUR 90 DAYS PROBATIONARY PERIOD, TO BE TAKEN WITHIN YOUR FIRST YEAR OF EMPLOYMENT.

Skills/Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required, and at least one (1) year of experience in a licensed childcare center.
  • Must possess the DCF 45 hours of Childcare Licensing training, and an active child care staff credential (CDA).
  • Must have a CPR and First Aid Certification or must obtain certification upon hire.
  • Must possess a caring and nurturing attitude towards children and excellent customer service skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
