MACHINE OPERATOR
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1Gains comprehensive functional knowledge of the manufacturing equipment
2Performs typical polymer compounds machine operations
3Performs basic set-ups and completes required paperwork
4Monitors the machine and reports abnormal conditions to the group leader
5Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition
6Follows prescribed safety regulations and work instructions
7Performs prescribed preventive maintenance on machines as required
8Moves materials as necessary
Education and Experiences
1High school diploma or GED preferred
20 - 3 years experience in a production environment preferred
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1Basic math skills
Supervisory Responsibilities
1None
Training Requirements
1General safety training
2Forklift operation and certification
Physical Demands
1Regularly required to sit or stand, and move around the facility.
2Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
3Must pass PFT/Mask Fit test
Personal Protective Equipment
1As required by PPE map and tasks assigned
Work Environment:
1Regularly exposed to heat, dust, odors, oil, fumes, heat and noise.
Working Hours
112 hour operation
2Day shift - from 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. Night Shift - from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.
May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
