Next Generation Spectacles are our first pair of glasses that bring augmented reality to life. We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join OS Security team at Snap Inc!What you’ll do:Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders and to enhance device security and user privacyDesign and build security solutions to facilitate secure manufacturing of SpectaclesResearch, design and develop cutting edge security features to enhance the security posture for SpectaclesImprove infrastructure for fuzzing and automate security validationKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Experience in platform-level vulnerability hardening / testing in Linux based systemsSkilled with security auditing and risk assessmentIn-depth understanding of authentication, security protocols and applied cryptographyMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of experience3+ years of experience with software development in one or more languages, and data structures / algorithms1+ year of experience building software for data privacy or security on Linux based systemsExperience in cryptography, application/system security focussed on embedded systems developmentPreferred Qualifications:Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical disciplineExperience with Trusted execution platforms such as ARM Trustzone"Default Together" Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future.Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):The base salary range for this position is $152,000-$228,000 annually.Zone B: The base salary range for this position is $144,000-$217,000 annually.Zone C:The base salary range for this position is $129,000-$194,000 annually.This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.SummaryLocation: Los Angeles, CaliforniaType: Full time
