Commercial Painter

SVN Parke Group is a leading commercial real estate company that manages and maintains office buildings, shopping centers and industrial buildings. We are seeking a full-time, experienced and skilled Commercial Painter to join our team:

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and priming as necessary.
2. Select and mix paints to achieve desired colors and textures.
3. Apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
4. Utilize techniques such as faux finishing, stenciling, and texture painting as required.
5. Ensure proper coverage and finish quality while adhering to project specifications.
6. Perform minor repairs on surfaces, including filling cracks and holes, before painting.
7. Protect surrounding areas from paint splatter and overspray using drop cloths, masking tape, and other protective materials.
8. Clean and maintain painting equipment and tools.
9. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
10. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Commercial Painter
2. Proficiency in various painting techniques and applications.
3. In-depth knowledge of paint types, colors, and mixing ratios.
4. Familiarity with different surface preparation methods and materials.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
9. Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or training as a Master Painter.
• Prior experience working on large-scale commercial projects.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations.
• Ability to operate painting equipment such as airless sprayers and power sanders.
