Maintenance Mechanic

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our facilities and equipment. This is a crucial role in our organization, as you will play a key part in keeping our operations running smoothly.

Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as inspecting, lubricating, and cleaning machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues in a timely manner
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and address them proactively
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement preventive maintenance plans
- Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work orders and document maintenance activities
- Supervise and train junior maintenance staff
- Weld and fabricate metal components as needed
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
- Perform basic electrical repairs and installations
- Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders

Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance principles and practices
- Proficiency in using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Leadership abilities to supervise and train junior maintenance staff
- Welding skills for metal fabrication
- Electrical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairs
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with logic controllers is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week.
