Aircraft Painter

Job Summary: The Aircraft Painter plays a crucial role in aircraft refinishing services, responsible for preparing and painting aircraft and components. This position requires a high level of expertise in paint application, adherence to safety procedures, and effective communication.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Aircraft Preparation: Prepare aircraft for stripping and painting.
2. Paint Mixing: Mix and apply paints in various quantities.
3. Equipment Operation: Set up and operate various types of paint spraying equipment.
4. Pattern Locating: Locate pounce patterns for registration numbers as needed.
5. Specification Compliance: Follow all applicable specifications to ensure task completion.
6. Work Environment: Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
7. Efficiency: Perform work within estimated hours.
8. Safety Procedures: Follow all safety procedures and specifications.
9. Environmental Compliance: Be aware of and comply with all environmental guidelines related to the work performed.
10. Paperwork: Execute all required paperwork associated with assigned duties.
11. Ground Support Equipment: Use and operate ground support equipment in a safe manner, if qualified.
12. Independence: Work with little or no supervision and accomplish assignments with minimal rework.
13. Effective Communication: Interface effectively with management, other departments, and co-workers.

Requirements:

• Experience: 3+ years of experience as an aircraft painter on commercial aircraft.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Tools: Must have own paint spray gun; all other tooling and personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.
• Language: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
