Job Description
Title: CNC Lathe Machinist – 3rd Shift
Location: Norco, CA
Shift: Monday – Friday, 9:00 pm – 5:30 am
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00
Responsibilities:
  • Operate and Set-up Doosan model 2600SY with two spindles, live tooling with bar feeding capability (2.500-inch bar size)
  • Operate and Set-up Doosan model TT1800 SY, twin turret twin spindle with live tooling, and bar feeding capability (2.00-inch bar size)
  • Optical comparator, Suburban Tool with Quadra-Chek digital readout
  • Utilize Helmel Checkmaster and Starrett Model RGDC 2828-24 CMM Measuring Machine
  • Utilize Mahr Federal Perthometer, surface finish analyzer
  • Keyence Visual Measuring Machine
  • Calibrated inspection surface plates
  • Various inspection gages and micrometers
  • Reporting to the applicable Shop Supervisor and Operations Manager
  • Ability to set tools, tool offsets and work offsets.
  • Chang chucks and collet nose per job application.
  • Ensure all production parts meet all the parameters of the specifications and drawings and maintain the quality standard that was exhibited with the first article part for the entire production lot.
  • Capable of in-process dimensional inspection with standard inspection equipment.
  • To maintain integrity of the parts being produced with the ability to adjust program and re-set cutting tool when necessary.
  • Keep work area orderly and clean to ensure a safe and accurate environment.
  • Report all problems and concerns to the shift supervisor when the issues occur.
  • Responsible for full compliance to AS9100 quality requirements.
  • Management reserves the right to assign responsibilities and duties as they seem necessary to meet the goals of the corporation and the specifications of the customer.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma
  • 3-5 years min. experience with Lathe Setup and operation.
  • Know Fanuc and Haas controls
  • Setup and operate CNC lathes or mills
  • Complete First Article Inspection
  • Read and understand prints and Tolerancing.
  • Use all Inspection tools to ensure quality work with close tolerances.
  • Ability to work with complex blueprints, inspection specifications and verbal and written instructions.
  • Good verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use good judgment, to manage priorities, and make independent decisions.
