Purchasing Agent

Heritage Truck Equipment in Hartville, Ohio is hiring an Purchasing agent to join our team. Benefits include paid medical insurance, simple IRA with company match, dental and vision coverage, paid vacations and holidays, sign-on bonus and monthly attendance bonus.

Duties including but not limited to:

• Monitoring inventory and writing orders to refill stock according to production schedule
• Conducting research on potential products, vendors and services
• Comparing price and quality to ensure the best deal
• Meet with vendors to resolve price, quality, or invoice issues
• Communicate with shipping and receiving team to ensure goods are received on time
• Communicate any supply problems which may have impact on business operations
• Ability to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedule
• Review and distribute production work
• Data entry into business system

Qualifications:

• Ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with peers, staff and vendors
• Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and achieve set targets
• Experience with CAD/CAM nesting software a plus
• Self-motivated
