Job Description
Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10pm (flexible to work weekends)
We are looking for a dependable motivated Quality Assurance Technician, to join the SAERTEX multiCom team. The QA Technician provides direct quality support to the production area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent quality management on the plant floor to help ensure product & process quality
- Product and machine quality checks according to specifications, form & function parameters, and technical data
- Outgoing COCs
- Handling of nonconformities (NCR), including root cause analysis, corrective & preventive actions, e.g. rework/repair, or disposition decisions (Scrap, Release to Customer, Return to Stock)
- Incoming goods receiving control, including chemical lab testing
- Equipment calibration verification
- Evaluation of quality data to identify & visualize e.g. trends, strengths & weaknesses etc.
- Continuous improvement activities
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 2 years of experience in operational, or technical function supporting manufacturing
- Evidence of leadership skills coupled with good oral and written communication skills, i.e. effective presentation of concepts and ideas, as well as interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Attention to detail, flexibility, and an awareness of production quality control.
- Must be able to work any shift with the possibility of a rotating schedule and/or including weekends.
- Must be computer literate; able to utilize computer systems to input & retrieve information.
- Must have good listening skills & be able to follow instruction both written & verbal.
- Must be customer focused & focused on results.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. A large percentage of work time is spent in the plant where temperatures can be hot or cold (seasonally) and noise level are moderate to high.
