Regional Sales Manager

A leading construction material manufacturer is seeking a talented professional for their Midwest US market. Remote based.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership, Management & Accountabilities:

Maintain the right people in the right seats within the department team, including talentacquisition.

Provide day-to-day coaching and guidance to distribution team members to develop strengths totheir fullest potential.

Support individual and team accountability and ownership, coordinating and leading L-10 Meetings in alignment with EOS.

Sales Results:

Recommend strategic sales and marketing plans to meet company sales and production goals.

Drive the sale of company products in the designated region, while maintaining established grossprofit margins.

Establish pricing structure & complete sales quotas to ensure the firm’s financial objectives met.

Directs sales forecasting activities & sets performance goals accordingly, monitoring results andadjusting strategies as required.

Monitor & evaluate the activities & products of the competition in the assigned region.

Meet with key clients, deliver presentations, and assist sales representatives with maintainingrelationships, negotiating & closing deals.

Distribution Network:

Establish, manage & grow the Distributor network of relationships in the Region.

Work with sales staff to make sure that we are excelling at meeting the customer’s needs &helping to resolve customer issues as needed.

Support the distributor sales training plan focused on developing and reinforcing critical sales andtechnical competencies.

Government Relations:

Build relationships with State & County Env. Health Departments

Complete, submit and secure regulatory approvals through RFAs – request for approvals

Develop relationships with state Onsite Wastewater associations.

Build and maintain open, honest working relationships with others, to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in business or marketing with a minimum of seven years of experience in sales management.

Proven closing abilities with the ability to work in a high-pressure, constantly-changingenvironment.

Well-developed presentation skills & excellent customer relation skills.

Strong influencing skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels ofthe organization.

Financial acumen with the ability to understand P&L and profitable sales margins.

Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to analyze data/facts to support validconclusions and sound recommendations.

Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office.

Professional demeanor and presence with the ability to speak and make effective presentations to customers and other groups.

Flexible to travel up to 80 nights/year.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
