General Machinist

Shift: 1st, Monday - Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Pay: $15 - $22/hour

We are looking for General Machinists who can perform mechanical training, assembly, and the maintenance of machinery. This position will be responsible for operating Vertical Mills, Surface & OD Grinders, Boring Mills, Engine Lathes, Saws, and Drill Presses. Possessing a basic knowledge of mechanical abilities, knowledge of electrical wiring, hydraulics, and pneumatics is extremely helpful. This position will also perform machine preventative maintenance and machining of parts.

Essential Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently (Must be able to work with minimal supervision).

• Strong oral and written communication skills are required.

• Must be able to read blueprints/schematics and have a general sense of mechanical and electrical/electronic aspects of manufacturing.

• Must have general machine repair with hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical trouble shooting skills a plus.

• A dedicated commitment to meeting deadlines through good attendance and willingness to work overtime, including weekends, are also necessary.

• Must be computer literate and possess basic math skills.

• Responsible for quality control of parts from start to finish

• Must be able to pay close attention to details

• Must keep work area neat and clean at all times.

• Must have own tools (A list of required tools will be provided upon interview)

• Must be able to read Micrometers (Depth, Inside/Outside).

• Must have a minimum of (1-3) years of machinist experience.

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50-75 lbs.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
