Thrive Medical has a full-time opening for an energetic, quick-learning, compassionate, and dedicated Physical Therapy Aide. Applicants must be dependable with reliable transportation, personable, able to work in a fast-paced environment, able to work in a team setting, have strong multi-tasking skills, and have good communication skills.

**Please note this position may require you to travel to our other locations in E. Setauket, Riverhead, Sayville, and Smithtown.

Job Description:


  • Clean and organize the work area and disinfect equipment after treatment.
  • Instruct, motivate, safeguard, or assist patients in practicing exercises or functional activities under the direction of Physical Therapist.
  • Record treatment given and equipment used.
  • Transport patients to and from treatment areas using wheelchairs or providing standing support.
  • Secure patients into or onto therapy equipment.
  • Observe patients during treatment to compile and evaluate data on patients' responses and progress and report to the Physical Therapist.
  • Confer with physical therapy staff or others to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, or coordinating treatment.
  • Arrange treatment supplies to keep them in order.
  • Maintain equipment or furniture to keep it in good working condition, including assembling or disassembling equipment or accessories.
  • Measure the patient's range of joint motion, body parts, or vital signs to determine the effects of treatments or for patient evaluations.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Personal trainer or Physical therapy aide experience is required
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work well independently and in a team
Comfortable working with patients of all ages and backgrounds
