Building Maintenance Technician

$19+ hourly

Responsibilities:

• Inspect the building for any structural damage to windows, doors, walls, and perform necessary repairs
• Plan and implement preventative maintenance procedures to maximize equipment operations and minimize safety risks
• Ensure all equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring are in working order by conducting routine maintenance and handle any repairs, if needed
• Take additional maintenance requests as assigned
• Keep a record of completed repairs and when equipment was last serviced

• Other functions as assigned by Director of Operations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent
• 2+ years of maintenance experience
• Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail
• Advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniques
• Applicants should have knowledge of air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems

• EPA Refrigerent Certification
• Provides service with a smile, and understands guest satisfaction
• Problem Solver- Implements solutions and overcomes constraints
• Self Starter - positive, optimist, and willing to take initiative 
• Physical requirements- able to lift up to 40 lb. regularly
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk and stand for long periods of time, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Use of ladders required
• Ability to speak and hear clearly
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions, including seasonally hot or cold temperatures and inclement weather
• Possess an understanding of and follow safety procedures
