The Pickleball Club, headquartered in Sarasota, FL is a developer of premier membership based one of a kind indoor pickleball clubs in the state of Florida. The Company is well underway with its plans to develop 15 facilities across the state of Florida with its strategy to take advantage of the significant unmet demand for quality indoor sports facilities across Florida. Our first state-of-the-art facility is now open and operating in Lakewood Ranch and we are preparing to open our second club in St Lucie West in May. We are seeking Retail Sales Associates to join our Pickles Café team!


TPC is a new exclusive private club experience for pickleball enthusiasts of all levels. TPC prides itself on providing world-class facilities and service to our members and their guests. TPC is a full-service club with 12 indoor pickleball courts, 2 outdoor covered courts, and 2 bocce courts. We offer a suite of member benefits including member concierge services, engaging member events and in-house instructional professionals. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the United States and TPC is the leader in the market.


Come join our exciting new team in our beautiful new “Members Only” pickleball club, which features the original Pickles Café! You will be preparing and serving various espresso bar drinks, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as creating fresh and delicious salads, sandwiches, and charcutier boards for our members and guests.


Responsibilities:

  • Show up on time, in proper attire and well groomed.
  • Prepare and serve salads, and sandwiches according to club standards.
  • Prepare smoothies, protein shakes, coffees, espresso drinks by following recipes and procedures to protect the consistency of the items.
  • Slicing meats and cheese on an industrial meat slicer, follow guidelines and protocols for cleanliness and safety.
  • Ensure all ingredients are fresh, safely stored, and used within their expiration dates.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and efficient use of ingredients.
  • Follow all food safety guidelines and procedures, including proper food handling, storage, and cooking temperatures.
  • Execute all operational standards correctly, in a timely manner and in accordance with the cafe standards, safety and health codes.
  • Take pride in the café by placing a priority on maintaining in a clean and organized cafe, including regular sanitization of surfaces and equipment.
  • Take inventory of ingredients and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including answering questions about menu items and accommodating special requests.
  • Exceed customer expectations with your ability to engage, build rapport, listen, and provide friendly, fast service as you go through a tailored order creating approach.
  • Ensure that the café is welcoming to all customers by having a stocked display case and neatly displayed grab and go items.
  • Protect company assets by adhering to all processes and working efficiently to control waste.
  • Work in the café, which requires physical activity (i.e., prolonged standing, repetitive bending, lifting, climbing, operating espresso machines), and dining area when not busy.
  • Create a clean working space throughout the day and night.


Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in a similar kitchen setting is necessary. Superior dexterity skills to operate cutting tools efficiently and safely.
  • Excellent proficiency with technology use.
  • Keen understanding of industry-standard best cooking and preparation practices
  • Familiarity with safe and sanitary food handling and preparation
  • Certified in proper food handling and sanitation.
  • Keen sense of smell and taste
  • Excellent organizational, time management and multitasking skills
  • Employees are required to be CPR/AED Certified (having completed in person training) or must complete in person training and obtain certification at their own cost within 30 days of employment.
  • Great collaboration and teamwork skills
  • High energy and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.


Reporting:

  • The Pickles Associate reports to the Pickles Café Manager

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 20 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Valid for of ID
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment
