Job Title:               Human Resources Assistant

Job Type:              Full Time, Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Assistant to join our team. As a crucial member of the Human Resources department, you will be responsible for providing valuable administrative and program support. Under the guidance of the HR Director, you will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our HR operations for The NATIVE Project.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the credentialing and privileging of licensed healthcare providers using the MedTrainer HRIS system.
  • Manage general HR office clerical duties, including filing and document management.
  • Ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies while maintaining the integrity of the credentialing database system and HRIS system.
  • Monitor the credentialing process for medical and behavioral health providers and other licensed health professionals.
  • Coordinate the hiring process and applicant tracking via BambooHR.
  • Conduct background checks, reference checks, and primary source verifications.
  • Prepare credentials files and dashboards for presentation to the Credentialing Committee.
  • Process privilege requests and renewals, ensuring compliance with agency guidelines.
  • Assist with credentialing audits and department audits.
  • Utilize MedTrainer and BambooHR for database management and document organization.
  • Facilitate agency orientation and onboarding activities.
  • Word process meeting notes, make copies, scan documents, and prepare mailings.
  • Prepare meeting rooms for scheduled interviews and personnel meetings.
  • Contribute to the team effort and serve patients and peers with a focus on "Sacred Hospitality."
  • Support and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support HR and Administration department tasks.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration/Human Resources with at least two years of administrative experience. Experience in the Healthcare industry is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong public speaking and presenting skills.
  • Knowledge of accreditation and certification requirements.
  • Familiarity with medical credentialing and privileging procedures and standards.
  • Analytical skills for research and report preparation.
  • Strong understanding of Community Health Clinic and Urban Indian Health Clinic operations and procedures.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Suite, Canva, and other computer programs.
