Skilled Trades Service Specialist

PHC Restoration’s Service Specialists are detailed, consistent, and accurate individuals who have spent many years learning their trade and are passionate about building something great with their hands. They also appreciate opportunities to train and share their knowledge with the next generation of skilled trades professionals. 

Service Specialists know how to do a wide variety of construction-related tasks with finesse, intense focus, and skill. They are dependable individuals who can produce predictable results on routine projects. As someone who can provide value from the time we receive a call to board-up a property, all the way to the completion of the punch list, the Service Specialist is an integral part of the PHC Restoration team.  

Typical Duties:

• Carpentry
  • Trim work and framing
  • Subfloor repair and minor flooring installation (laminate, VCT)
• Cabinetry- Many of our clients experience water damage in kitchens and bathrooms. Our goal is to restore cabinets instead of replacing them.
  • Brace countertops to allow for cabinet removal
  • Detach cabinets, perform minor repairs and reinstall cabinets
  • Assembly and installation of new cabinets and countertops when needed
• Plumbing
  • Disconnect fixtures and reinstall, remove and reset toilets
  • Minor pipe repairs
• Drywall
  • Small repair jobs (install, patch, finish) and some painting
• Demolition 
  • Remove materials not able to be restored
• Punch list items
  • Install hardware, set appliances, make adjustments to doors, paint touch-up, etc.
• Electrical/Mechanical - 
  • Detaching and reinstalling electrical fixtures
  • Power distribution (identify circuits and install breakers in panel)
  • Hook up temporary power and generators 
  • Operate generators, compressors, desiccant dehumidifier

*Company provides tools and work truck* 

Previous damage restoration experience is not required, however at least 5 years of carpentry or construction experience is required.

Requirements: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation. Willing to be on-call for one week every 6 weeks.
